Based on the bestselling A06 Freedom Chair, this model is heavy-duty and designed to accommodate users who weigh up to 25 stone/160kg. The chair is fitted with twin 300 watt motors that propel you at speeds of up to 4mph. It has a range that can reach 9 miles with one battery.

It's lightweight, foldable and compact when not in use so it's easy to transport and put away. It's ideal for people who travel on cruise ships, cars or plane with their chairs as it can easily fit into the cabin. It also has airline approved lithium-ion batteries as well as an adaptor cable for off-board charging.

The user controls the powerchair using an electronic joystick that can be attached to either armrest and can be adapted to be used by right or left-handed users. The foot plate can be raised to allow easy user transfers and the tyres are 12" all-terrain PU which means it is able to conquer more challenging terrain.

There's plenty of space for personal items to be stored in the handy under-seat bag and the zippered pockets that are fixed on the back of the seat. There are adjustable lap belts as well as electromagnetic brakes to increase user safety.

This more powerful configuration means that the A08L can support the maximum weight of 25 stone (160kg) and achieving a much greater top speed of 4mph (6.5 km/h). The tyres made of PU are larger which makes this model better suited to rougher terrains. The control system makes use of an electromagnetic brake to make it simple to stop and slow down.

As well as being a sturdy chair this model is also very easy to fold and use. It is ideal for those who frequently travel with their electric wheelchair, because it folds down to the smallest size, and then wheeled using the backrest as an handle.
