If you're on a budget and don't require a stroller that can double into car seat carriers The Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It features a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also easy to push and feels solid when navigating kerbs or woodland paths. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the ultimate stroller that is lightweight, suitable for urban dwellers as well as jet-setters. This is thanks to its nimble maneuverability and fold that fits into the overhead baggage of an aircraft. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels that is made of Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack come together to create a chic pushchair that has a soft elegant look. The frame's weight alone is less than a kilo and is so light that you can easily lift it from the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, as an example is able to snap onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring way. It is machine washable at 30 degrees which helps avoid staining caused by smushed and mashed carrot puffs and rice cakes. It can be used as a pram right from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to a stroller after 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents looking for an adaptable stroller wagon. The Evenflo Xplore can be transformed from a stroller to an actual wagon by flipping the handle. Parents can then select which one is the best fit for their needs. The wagon is able to accommodate two or more children between 6 months to 5 years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can accommodate all your needs when you are on the move.

The Xplore has dual canopies which can rotate from front to back, offering adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as large or deep as other wagons, which means it might not be comfortable for long excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, but it doesn't bend as much as some other wagons that we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent choice for parents looking for an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded which means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a car trunk or closet. It also features a multi-position reclined seat and an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our test of push and turn, it did better than many of the other Cheap Single Pushchair strollers we tested, but it's still not the most comfortable to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to put together with an average manual and no components required tools. It's lacking certain features we consider essential for a double stroller. They include a large basket, reclining seats, and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the newest addition to Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate babies from birth to approximately 3.5 years old, easily changing into a seat and carrycot with a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible baby carriage.

It's a breeze to manoeuvre and the one-hand recline of the seat as well as the super large shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child out and in quickly. Although it is a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps well and was able to pass through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels can be locked in forward positions or let them swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate during our walk on an uneven path. It was able to handle this well, although it seemed slightly more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is a household name for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler jogging pushchairs, but they also offer a great range of 4-wheeler strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is simple to use and folds small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers we tried, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It's a breeze to maneuver across all types of terrain. It's easy to move even with two children and shopping bags.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be lowered to reveal the UV50and sun canopy extension. They are durable and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams that can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It does not have much storage space but it has an ample basket that is deep enough to hold a change bag or plenty of food. You can also use it with the Baby Jogger car seat for babies who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you need a stroller that can be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of a lot of parents when it first debuted. It's an aluminum-framed stroller which can be used from the infant's first days until. It's got a lot of standout features, like the capacity of the seat to be flipped between the parent and the world and a huge UPF50+ canopy with an eye shade that flips out, and an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis comes with a suspension system built-in that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made from tough foam and minimise punctures. It was simple to push, and our tester was able manoeuvre the vehicle through the narrow streets.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single pushchair is surprisingly easy to maneuver and has excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also lightweight and durable. The seat can be reclined into a variety of different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best single pushchair because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could awaken napping babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be configured to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and even works with a few carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned so that they face each one. They can also be set to face the parents. This can help to reduce sibling disputes about who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a huge gear tray as well as a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automated frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great jogger for parents who love to be active. It's among the lightest running strollers that you can get for your child. The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters that will fit the majority of infant car seats and bassinets however, you can use them from the first day with adapters that fit brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes 5-10 minutes to put together with no tools. The instruction manual is simple to understand and comes in a variety of languages.
