The most effective combinations we've tested fold easily in one hand and are strong enough to be used on long walks. They're also easy to maneuver and glide effortlessly over uneven surfaces. Some combos are attached and detached by straps. This can be a bit like a second step, and can make it harder for parents to secure their car seat properly.

The BOB Revolution Flex Combo is an excellent option due to its sturdy construction and convenient features, such as a large storage bin that can be accessed from the front or back. It's also quite light, making it a great choice for frequent travelers or families with multiple vehicles. Both the Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 in 1 stroller with car seat Combo, and the Thule Urban Glide 2 scored very well in our ease of use tests. Both have a single wheel that is simple to push with one hand. Both have one front wheel that is easy to push (one-handed!). They also come with a versatile spinner wheel, ideal for shopping or running errands. The only drawback is that they're heavy and are difficult to lift up when a baby is in a car seat.

Easy to Assemble

Some stroller and car seat combinations are difficult to put together. We discovered that the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo was one of the easiest to put together. It even comes with a quick-start guide that makes putting this travel system together an easy task. Other models we looked at like the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule Urban Glide 2, and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also relatively simple to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo, on the other hand, is difficult to assemble. It requires two steps connecting the lower anchors as well as using straps to cover the bottom of the carrier. It's also heavy, so it requires two hands to snap the carrier into the base, then detach it from the base.

In our tests, it took around 5 minutes to put together the UPPAbaby Cruz v2. It's a fairly easy procedure when you take into account the time saved by not having to take out each piece. The toddler seat can be slid into and detached easily on most of these models.
