What You Need to Know About Your Nissan Key Fob

Make sure that the positive face of the new battery is facing in the same direction it did with the old one. Finally shut the battery compartment and return the hidden key to its hidden location inside the case.

Remote Start

Nissan remote start is a feature that permits drivers to heat or cool their vehicle from outside the vehicle, as long as they are within the operating range. The ignition of the car is activated when a driver presses an appropriate button on the key fob or smartphone application. Lockout Protection

Lockout protection stops lockouts that result from the failure of the impedance. A special module inside the power control unit detects the activity of the impedance relay and disables the output. This feature is only available on vehicles with the Smart Key system or through the vehicle personalization menu.

Many serious accidents have happened because of a machine that was running when it was supposed to be completely turned off for maintenance or repair. These accidents are usually caused by stored energy that has not been properly released. Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) which makes sure that machines are shut off until a designated individual releases them, helps prevent these kinds of accidents.

The LOTO system consists of a series of locks, tags and other devices that are used to secure, isolate or block the machine from an electrical source. All "affected", "authorized" and "qualified" personnel must be instructed on the use of lockout/tagout devices. These devices include, but are not restricted to chains, locks and padlocks. Each device is singularly identified and labeled, including the date and time of the application, the name of the authorized person, and the reason for the lockout or tag-out (repair maintenance, repair, etc.). It must be stated clearly that these devices will not be removed until the LOTO procedure is complete.
