It's also easy to push and feels solid when you're navigating kerbs and woodland pathways. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the most lightweight stroller, both for city dwellers as for jet-setters. Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents seeking an adaptable stroller. It transforms from a stroller into a wagon by simply flipping the handle, which means parents can pick the mode they prefer for their journey. The wagon can accommodate one or two kids from 6 months up to 5 years old, and it comes with a large storage basket that can accommodate all of your on-the-go needs.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as other wagons we test. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competitors, and it does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and can fit through doors that are narrower than 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and fold size that means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a car trunk or closet. It also offers the option of reclining in multiple positions and a parent cup holder. Other key features include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than many of the other cheap Single Pushchair strollers we tried, but it's not the most maneuverable over uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. The sunshades it has are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only a direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over three minutes to put together with an average manual and no components required tools. It is missing some features that we consider essential for double strollers. These include an extra-large basket, reclining seats, and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. It is designed to carry baby from birth up to approximately 3.5 years, converting easily between a carrycot and seat in just a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base and a reversible carriage.

The seat can be reclined with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. The narrow pushchair sailed through every day bumps and doors easily.

The front wheels can be locked into a forward position or allow them to rotate which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. While walking along the stony path we allowed them to swivel and it handled this fairly well, although it seemed more bumpy than the other models on test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is famous for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler Jogging pushchairs, however they also make a good range of 4-wheeler strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is easy to use and folds down small enough to fit into the car boot, even with the carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers we tried, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It maneuvers expertly across different kinds of terrain, and it's easy to carry, even when loaded with two kids and shopping bags.

The carrycot and seat both come with hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams that can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space but it has a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also connect it with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for babies up to 20 lb (car seat and adapters sold separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be used on the road, the City Tour 2 is an excellent option.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that captured the hearts of many parents when it first appeared. It's an aluminium framed stroller that will be with you throughout your baby's initial days and beyond. It has a number of notable features, including the ability to flip the seat to be parent-facing and world-facing, a large UPF 50+ canopy with a flip out eyeshade and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis is equipped with a built-in suspension system that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam, which reduces punctures. It was easy to push and our test driver was able to maneuver the vehicle through the narrow streets.

It folds in four simple steps, and locks automatically without fuss. It is also able to stand and be rolled around for easier transportation in the car's boot or down the stairs at home. The travel system is also offered with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot using the adaptors included. The brakes come with only one action and are colour coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

This single push chair pushchair that is budget-friendly is surprisingly easy to handle and has great dual suspension, one-hand fold and a practical carry strap. It's also extremely light and sturdy. The seat can be reclined in various positions. It also has a built-in double breathable mattress that's suitable from birth.

The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that are fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't ideal it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and works with some carrycots. In twin mode seats, the seats can be positioned so that they face each the other. They can also be oriented to face the parents. This can help to lessen sibling fights about who sits with dad and mom. It has a huge gear tray, bottle holder as well as snack trays and a change mat.
