It is not the prettiest model or the smallest in our test, but it does have an easy-to-use frame, plenty of smart features, including an adjustable reclining mechanism as well as an padded brake. It also has a large basket underneath the carriage, and the ability to fold it with one hand. Plus, it's environmentally friendly and comes in recyclable packaging and 10 years of transferable warranty.

The Bugaboo Butterfly is another strong competitor, with its slim profile and a host of convenient features. In our tests, it moved easily over a variety of surfaces including shag and wood carpet and its storage basket is big enough for a backpack. The only issue is that it's a bit heavy (at 17 pounds) and therefore may not fit into the overhead bins of smaller airplanes.
