Cheap Single Pushchairs

If you're on a tight budget and don't require a stroller that doubles up as a car seat carrier, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop comfortable.

It's easy to push, and it is solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down that fits into the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. The most recent version features independent suspension on all four wheels made from Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and the 6months of colour pack are combined to create a chic pushchair with a subtle, elegant aesthetic. The frame itself weighs less than a kilo and is so light you can lift it directly from the box (and do so one-handed).

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a calm manner. It is machine washable at 30deg which helps avoid staining caused by smushed and mashed rice cakes and carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram right from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into stroller at 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great choice for parents looking for a versatile stroller. The Evenflo Xplore can be transformed from a stroller to an actual wagon by flipping the handle. Parents can then choose the best mode for their journey. The wagon is able to accommodate two or more children between 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can hold all your necessities when you are on the move.

The Xplore has dual canopies which rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that is not as deep or wide as other wagons, so it may not be suitable for long-distance excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend like other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the other models and it doesn't close tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It earned an eye-catching score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size, which means it's very lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to move into a trunk of a car or closet. It also has a multi-position reclining seat and an adult cup holder. Other features worth mentioning include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

In our test of the push and turn, it did better than the majority of other cheap strollers we test, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doorways. Its sunshades were among the tiniest of strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger canopies.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual and all of the components required tools. But, it's lacking some essential features that we believe you should consider non-negotiable for a double stroller like a large basket, and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. It can be used from birth until 3.5-years-old. The carrycot and seat can be converted easily with only a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It comes with a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible car seat.

It is really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the huge shopping basket make it simple for parents to get their child out and in quickly. This compact pushchair can handle all day bumps and doorways with ease.

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward-facing position and can also pivot. This is helpful when navigating rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate on our walk along the stony path. It was able to handle this well, although it seemed slightly more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is famous for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler Jogging pushchairs, however they also make a good assortment of strollers with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is simple to fold and can fit into the car's boot even with an attached carrycot.

It weighs more than other strollers we tested, but because it comes with rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver across various terrains and even with two children, a shopping bag and other things.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that can be lowered to reveal the UV50and sun canopy extension. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other prams hoods which can be blown back into toddlers' faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, however it does come with a huge basket that's deep enough for a changing bag as well as plenty of groceries. You can also pair it with a Baby Jogger car seat that is suitable for babies that weigh up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you require a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

This budget single pushchair (read more on Pushchairsandprams`s official blog) is surprisingly easy to handle and has excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also extremely light and durable. The seat can be reclined to many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat comes with two large fixed or flip-out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't ideal since it's not as silent as Velcro and could cause sleepy babies to wake up.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be adapted to accommodate twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and works with a few carrycots. In twin mode seats, the seats can be placed so that they face each other. They can also be positioned towards the parents. This should lessen sibling fights over who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a large gear tray as well as a bottle holder and snack tray. It also has an automatic frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is the perfect jogger for parents that like to be active. It's among the lightest strollers for running that you can buy for your child. It's easy to fold and put together in just 5-10 minutes with no tools. The manual is easy to comprehend and contains multiple languages.
