1. Babyzen YOYO2

This is due to its super nimble maneuverability and fold-down design that can be incorporated into the overhead luggage of an aeroplane. The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack come together to create a stylish pushchair with a subtle, elegant aesthetic. The frame's weight is less than a kilogram, and is so light it is able to be lifted from the box with one hand.

The hood, as an example snaps onto the YOYO2 in a reassuring manner. It is also machine washable at 30deg, which helps to prevent stains caused by smushed rice cakes and carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It can also be converted into a stroller after 6 months with the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who want a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It transforms from a stroller to wagon by simply flipping the handle, meaning parents can pick the option they want to use on their trip. The wagon can be used by two or more children from 6 months old to 5 years, and it has a wide storage basket that can accommodate everything you need on the go.

The Xplore has two canopies that rotate from front-to-back, providing adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell that's not as large or deep as other wagons, so it might not be comfortable for long-distance excursions or for napping.

The frame on the Xplore is solid and sturdy, although it does not have the same flex as some of the other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it's not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to move, though, and it can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This bare-bones double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable second stroller for their travels. It scored well in our Strollers & Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to carry and put in a trunk for your car. It also has an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and cup holders for the parent. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

In our test of the push and turn, it did better than many of the other strollers that we tried, but it's not the easiest to maneuver on uneven terrain or through doorways that are narrow. The sunshades on it were among the smallest of all strollers we test. They only cover the top, and don't have windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopies.

It took us less than three minutes to put together the Delta with a manual. The parts are all non-required and required tools. It's lacking some features that we consider essential for a double stroller. They include a large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair that is advertised as a travel system for urban use. It comes with a lightweight Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in car-base and a reversible car seat.

The seat reclines with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. This compact pushchair can handle all day bumps and doorways with ease.

The front wheels can be locked into a forward position or allow them to rotate which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. When we walked on the stony path, we let them swivel and it handled this fairly well, though it did appear more bumpy than the other models in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is famous for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain jogging pushchairs, but they also make a good selection of 4-wheel strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is simple to use and folds small enough to fit in a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers we tested but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and durable. It is easy to maneuver on various terrains and even with two kids with shopping bags and other things.

The carrycot and seat both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are showerproof and sturdy unlike other prams' hoods that are turned back into toddlers' faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it does have a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or plenty of food. You can also pair it with the Baby Jogger car seat for infants up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are available separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to take a stroller with you on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first came onto the scene it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It is an aluminium-framed stroller that can be used from infant's earliest days through. It is a standout model with many unique features, like the capacity of the seat to be flipped between parent and world facing as well as a large UPF50+ canopy, an eye-shade that flips out, as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are tough and foam-filled which minimises punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension that takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. Our tester found it to be smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through narrow streets without difficulty.

The seat is reclined in several positions. It has a built-in double-breathable mattress that can be used from birth.

The canopy/seat features two large fixed or flip-out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn't the best single pushchair as it’s not as quiet as Velcro and could awaken napping babies.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be adapted to take twins or siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be facing each other or can be turned around to face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling disputes over who sits with dad and mom. It comes with a large bottle holder, gear tray snack tray, and a change mat. It also comes with a folding stand that folds down and a frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger for parents who like to stay active. It's among the lightest strollers for running that you can buy your child. It also has great safety features, such as a 5-point safety harness as well as a wrist safety strap. It comes with a different kind of hand brake unlike other models, which is an innovative twist.

The seat is well padded and provides a wide area to sit. However, the seat depth is smaller than that of other runners (it's just 10 inches deep") The storage bin comes with a zippered cover to help keep things secure. It can hold 10 lbs. It is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with infant car seats or bassinets as of yet, but you can use it from day one with the purchase of adapters for most seats by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes 5-10 minutes to assemble without tools. The manual is simple to understand and includes multiple languages.
