The front wheels can be locked in forward positions or allow them to rotate which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate during our walk on a stony path. It handled the situation well, though it did seem to be a bit rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is a household name for their three-wheeled, all-terrain Jogging pushchairs, however they also offer a great range of 4-wheeler strollers. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It folds easily and fits easily in the trunk of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It's heavier than other strollers we test, but since it has composite wheels made of rubber, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other things.

The carrycot and seat both come with hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are showerproof and sturdy, unlike some other prams' hoods that get bounced back into toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large, deep basket to hold a change bag or a large amount of groceries.
