1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is equipped with the company's upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system, which offers improved mapping and obstacle avoidance. The system is equipped with dual laser LiDAR, similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan up to 32 feet by 360 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also has an alternating mopping mat made of chenille, which makes it much easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than conventional mopping. In my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and then got to work. I noticed that it was more precise than other models that seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was capable of navigating my room's by the corners and robot vacuum mops edges as well as create a "Zambani pattern" across the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dustbin and clean the mop with hot water before beginning another cleaning task.

Then, you can start the app and start with your first task of cleaning. The X2 Omni performed impressively during my tests, scoring outstanding scores in the removal of pet hair and debris cleaning and close to perfect results in crevice and edge cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you need a powerful combination of mopping and vacuuming then check out the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most advanced of the brand's T-line and features the brand's new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that utilizes dual-spinning brushes to provide better cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbing. It has YIKO, which is a natural language processing system that is a first of its kind. This allows it to respond to a variety of voice commands. The ECOVACS App allows you to map your house, create cleaning schedules and modify settings.

The biggest con with the T10 Omni is that it's not able to switch from mopping to vacuuming in one run. The T10 Omni has two modes that require you to attach mop heads and take them off in accordance with your needs. This is fine for most households, but not for those with busy lives.

However, the Deebot Omni is a superb robot vacuum and delivers impressive results in our tests on pet hair. It was able to remove more than 96% of the debris from our hardwood floors. This is an excellent performance. It also did an excellent job on tile and carpet, removing over 90% of dirt and debris.

This robot vacuum and mop has a large docking system that allows for automatic cleaning with cool water for the mop pads. It also has an auto-emptying 3L bag which is easy to replace and hot air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also comes with a large tank of water that allows it to be washed and dried more often between mopping sessions.

The Deebot T10 comes with an integrated wash tray into its base, which is similar to other mopping robots. It uses the wash tray to rinse and dry its mop pads while it is using them. However, it doesn't have an open tray, which means that dirty water, dust and other grime slowly builds up in the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

This is the first mopping model from Anker, which is known for its robot vacuums. It is equipped with enhanced intelligence and support for multiple maps, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts to the surface you are cleaning. It's a mid-range cleaner that's attractive, even if its promise of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn't make sense.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular shape with sweeper wheels and an elevated sensor area. On the other hand you'll find a motorized floorbrush and one side brush that moves dust away from the edges and into the main path of its'mouth.' It's a bit smaller than the main brushes of the iRobot Roomba S9 which I found made it easier to reach under couches and chairs.

Its mapping system lets you create no-mop zones and specific cleaning zones. However, it has a tendency to hit things (including its charging dock) and isn't the best at climbing over rug. It was good at picking up pet hair from carpets. In our tests it picked up 89.5 percent of cat litter.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, however it also has a set of physical buttons on its base. These buttons let you select the cleaning mode, or turn off the robot. You can also use these to set no-go zones and see maps in real-time. It's also a bit chatty and will tell what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or notify you if something isn't working.

4. ILIFE A4s

This high-tech model sucks up pet hair, kibble, and other debris with top-notch effectiveness and effortlessly moves around furniture legs. It has a feature set that is impressive, such as two cleaning modes and an automatic docking station and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be controlled best through the Neato App which schedules cleanings and maintenance needs are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for large homes with a mix of hard floors and carpet, but it requires some planning ahead to avoid getting stuck by power cords, toys or other unexpected obstacles.

In our hardwood floor and kibble tests the robot performed very well and was able to pick up everything from a single grain of rice to several pieces of dog food in one pass. It had some trouble with rugs, but generally speaking this vacuum cleaner is great for large rooms that contain floors of different types and a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is a bit expensive but it's an excellent purchase for those who want to be able to leave the house hands-free so they can take on other tasks or take care chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning feature that increases suction to tackle the most difficult spills or dirt. It also comes with a battery powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot.

This budget-friendly robot from a popular new brand is the cheapest we've ever tested and offers incredible value for money. Its basic navigation system uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm and lacks room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than other models on this list. However it's still able to reach under furniture and in corners, and its mopping mode performed well in our testing it picked up pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not appear as well-built however, it's better at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning low-pile carpet and bare floors. It also utilizes smart-pathing navigational software for greater maneuverability. It can be directed to a particular area and includes a variety of advanced automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It even lets you stop and restart cleaning sessions which is ideal for homes with pets.

Its self cleaning brushroll prevents knots and robot vacuum mops holds up to 30 days of dirt. It also comes with an array of side brushes that are angled to penetrate into corners and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander, and allergens for a cleaner air.

The robot vacuum feels sturdy and well-built. It works with a smartphone app that enables you to change the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions in advance. The app lets you see the remaining battery life of the iQ, and send push notifications when it encounters any problems during a cleaning session. You can control it using your voice with an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices you can mark the boundaries of your area by using physical boundary markers.

The iQ is great for cleaning floors that aren't clean, and it does a decent job on carpets with low pile and shaggy edges. However it doesn't provide the same level autonomy as our top picks. It is also expensive and its recurring cost can be quite costly.
